BRDC F4 front-runner Matty Graham is aiming for the F4 Winter Championship crown after completing a deal with Douglas Motorsport.

The Durham driver finished fourth in the main BRDC F4 Championship standings this year, and secured two victories at Brands Hatch GP and at Silverstone while competing with Sean Walkinshaw Racing. He also claimed four additional podium finishes, and was still in championship contention heading to the final weekend at Donington Park, impressing on his first year in single seater racing.

The 2011 CIK-FIA Under 18 Karting World Champion switches to Douglas Motorsport for the Winter Championship, a squad he spent some time with before making his transition to cars this year.

Douglas Motorsport’s Wayne Douglas is delighted to welcome Graham back to the team. “It’s great to see Matty back under the Douglas banner” he enthused. “Matty completed an extensive driver development programme with us ahead of his Formula 4 campaign and his two race wins are testament to the value of that time with ourselves. I’m very confident that we can hit the ground running at Snetterton and challenge for the Winter Championship title.”

Graham is fully focussed on claiming the Winter Championship crown. “It’s good to be back with Douglas Motorsport for the BRDC F4 Winter Championship. I made my transition into cars with them so it’s nice to be back to do some races and I’m really hoping we can challenge for the title.”
