Matty has taken pole position for today’s F4 race on the Silverstone GP circuit. He led for most the session, making regular improvements to edge out championship leader Jake Hughes and Charlie Robertson.

Barlow was the first driver to go top, but Graham quickly usurped him. From early in the session it quickly developed into a battle between Graham and Hughes, with the pair exchanging positions before Graham eventually set a lap 0.215s clear of the championship leader.

Speaking afterwards he enthused: “The session went very well, it all seemed to go my way. I didn’t get much traffic around the lap, got a good time in and I’m really happy.

“There were a few cars up ahead which I was a bit worried about but I dropped back and in the end it paid off.

“There are some long straights here which provide an opportunity to overtake, but hopefully I can hold them off and I can win race one!”
