TITLE TILT STILL IN MATTY’S MIND

With the final round of the 2013 BRDC F4 Championship looming this weekend, Matty heads to Donington Park in fourth place in the drivers standings after an excellent late season run of form.

Graham has claimed five podiums in the last eight races, including two wins, to bring himself right into championship contention. He sits 71 points behind championship leader Jake Hughes although this reduces to 61 on current dropped scores, with 90 available at the season finale.

“[Jake] Hughes has a nice gap to the rest of us, but it’s a long shot and anything is possible. I will still go to Donington hoping I have a chance of claiming the championship,” Graham commented.

He admits though, that wins and podiums are his main priority this weekend.

“It’s just like any other weekend really. I’ll be aiming to get the best results possible, hopefully wins and podiums, and that should lift us into the top three in the championship.”

Graham is also eagerly anticipating his first racing experience on the Donington Park circuit, but has undergone successful recent testing at the venue.

“We had a really productive test at Donington last week and our pace seemed very good. It’s a nice track with a lot of quick sections and I’m hopeful of another good weekend.

“All in all I’m delighted with my first season in cars and I can’t believe how quickly the season has gone. If I can continue my recent form I’m going to be right up there.”
