Fresh from his Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup races at Assen, Matty headed to Silverstone for the latest MSA Academy Day.

A development pathway that takes competitors from the entry point as young as eight years of age up to national level and ultimately onto the world stage, the MSA Academy provides training, advice, guidance and information for talented young competitors through a series of programmes, including MSA Performance Master Classes, the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence and the MSA Team UK national development squad.

At this session, the drivers in attendance were given specialist advice in how to prepare sponsorship proposals and how to develop themselves as a marketable property, to enable them to continue their motorsport aspirations by securing partners to work with.

“Sponsorship is something that is occupying quite a bit of the time of everyone that is part of my racing so it was a very well timed session.”

“We went through a few key things that I should include in proposals and it was very useful.  Hopefully what I learnt will help in get more partners like Fineside on-board and let me move forward in 2015.
