TRACK CHAT – OULTON PARK

The 2016 British GT championship roars back into life this Bank Holiday weekend, as the series heads to Oulton Park in Cheshire for rounds three and four.

Running on the 2.7 mile international circuit, two one hour races on Bank Holiday Monday as opposed to the usual two hour plus format will bring a new set of challenges to the teams and drivers, with fewer opportunities to establish an advantage or get away with mistakes.

A circuit characterised by rapid gradient changes, tight corners and a need to make use of the kerbs, Oulton Park has for the past 11 seasons played host to the British GT season opener but will instead this season, see drivers aim to build on solid starts or reignite their 2016 campaigns.

It is a circuit that Matty first drove back in 2013 and one that he says will be a challenge, but fun in his Aston Martin Vantage.
