RACE PREVIEW

MATTY SET FOR SNETTERTON BRITISH GT WEEKEND

Matty is hoping he can carry the momentum from a strong result at Spa Francorchamps forward to this weekend’s meeting at Snetterton, with his eyes set on at least one trip to the top step of the podium in the remaining three races of the 2016 British GT season.

After he and team mate Jack Mitchell took their second podium of the year as they raced their Macmillan Racing Aston Martin Vantage from 15th on the GT4 grid to third over the course of the two hour race, Matty says the whole team will be lifted heading into this weekend’s double header.

With this weekend’s track action split into two one hour races instead of the longer endurance events of two hours plus, it is a return to the format which saw Matty and Jack take their best finish of the season to date, with second place at Oulton Park and one that the 20 year old is looking forward to.
