MATTY SATISFIED BY BRITISH GT START

Matty was pleased overall with the outcome of his opening British GT meeting of the season at Oulton Park, with a well deserved second place rounding out a baptism of fire in successful style.

Having undertaken a total of six laps running in winter testing and struggled for pace on the first day of the meeting, Easter Monday’s races saw hard work by the In2Racing team pay off giving Matty and crew-mate Marcus Hoggarth a vastly improved car.

Electrical gremlins put paid to a strong haul of points in the opening one-hour event, but a superb drive from Matty in the second vaulted the #29 McLaren 570S from 12th to second by the time of the mandatory driver change.

Hoggarth climbed aboard and was chasing down the races eventual winners before a big accident and safety car deployment brought proceedings to a premature close.
