RACE REFLECTIONS – GT4 EURO SERIES BRANDS HATCH

A last minute call to join his continental counterparts at Brands Hatch for the GT4 European Series Northern Cup posed no problems for Matty last weekend as he delivered a front running performance.

Jumping into the Equipe Verschuur team to race alongside Hungarian raced Csaba Mor, Matty found instantly found himself as one of the pace setters, with Mor and he never outside of the top five on pace.

With no GT3′s at the head of the field to steal the limelight, Matty did a fine job at the wheel of the team’s McLaren 570S GT4 racing strongly against highly rated, fellow British GT pilot Joe Osbourne in the first one hour event before getting involved with a thrilling battle with team-mate Duncan Huisman in the second.

And while post race penalties robbed the team and drivers of their hard earned thrid and fourth places, the performances in the races still provided Matty with a great deal of satisfaction.
