MATTY SETS THE PACE AT TEAMSPORT NEWCASTLE

Matty’s build-up to British GT’s Donington Decider in September saw him dust off his karting world champion cap, with a visit to Newcastle’s newest indoor karting venue.

TeamSport, the UK’s number one operator of indoor tracks, launched their brand new Scotswood Road site in August and with the centre up and running, Matty joined a host of guests for a big evening of karting.

Taking to the circuit as a pace kart, the 2011 Under 18 World Karting Champion led groups of racers around the 950m international circuit, highlighting the ideal line before releasing the field to post their best qualifying times.

He then remained on hand trackside to offer further tips to drivers as the battled it out around the multi-level circuit.

Based only two miles from Newcastle’s thriving city centre, TeamSport’s 23rd centre caters to all abilities from seasoned karters to first-time racers with further facilities, including a fully licensed bar, providing an unrivalled experience.
